Introduction

1.   An action happened in the previous time is called past indefinite tense.

      (a) To indicate an action completed in the past time.

 

      (b) It is also used for past habits.     

Write heading, on the board and ask the following question.

 

Q         What is meant by past time?

Examples:

      I went to school yesterday

      I went to Lahore.

      He ate his meal.

She studied many hours everyday.

            Call some students on the board and ask them to write one sentence of the past indefinite tense.  Also write some simple urdu sentences and ask student to translate them into English.
